About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Test Development:
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for backend APIs, databases, and services.
  • Conduct manual testing for complex or edge cases not covered by automation.
• Issue Detection & Resolution:
  • Identify, document, and track bugs or performance bottlenecks, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis for defects and propose preventative measures.
• Collaboration:
  • Work with developers to establish test strategies for new features and updates.
  • Partner with DevOps to integrate testing pipelines into CI/CD workflows.
• Monitoring & Improvement:
  • Analyze and enhance test coverage to improve system reliability.
  • Monitor backend performance metrics to proactively detect issues.

Qualifications

1. Experience:
   • Proven experience in backend QA or a related field, preferably in SaaS or AI-driven products.
   • Familiarity with microservices architectures and RESTful API testing.
   • Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
   • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
   • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana or ELK Stack.
   • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
   • Effective communication skills for collaborating across cross-functional teams.
